11 Fallout New Vegas Snow Globes
Fallout New Vegas (affiliate link) Snow Globes are the unique collectable only available in the New Vegas instalment of the franchise. Unlike Bobbleheads, the snow globes do not offer any perks or bonuses to SPECIAL or skills. Instead, they can be sold for 2,000 caps per snow globe. This can be useful when you are trying to finance implants to improve your stats.
Goodsprings' Snow Globe
The first New Vegas Snow Globe can be found in the Goodsprings graveyard. To locate it, face the Prospector Saloon and head north. Just before reaching the water tower, you should see a graveyard. The Snow Globe is placed next to one of the gravestones. When you pick it up, a description of what the Snow Globes are used for will be displayed.
Hoover Dam Snow Globe
The second of the New Vegas Snow Globes is located at Hoover Dam and is easy to find. On the right-hand side, as you step onto the dam, there is a door that leads to the visitor centre. Inside, you will find the reception desk. Next to a computer is where you can find the next snow globe.
Mormon Fort
The third of the New Vegas Snow Globes is in Mormon Fort located in Freeside, next to The Strip. It is inside a walled-off section with a large entrance. Once inside, face the northwest and head to the corner of the area. There is a door that leads to one of the towers. Inside, go left and up the stairs. Once at the top of the stairs, the snow globe will be on top of a bookcase.
Mt. Charleston
Mt. Charleston is west of the Vegas Strip. The path is full of enemy mantises. Once at the top, you'll find Jacobstown and the Jacobstown Lodge, where the next snow globe is waiting on the reception desk.
Nellis AFB
Nellis AFB can be challenging to access due to the residents firing artillery at you. Once you reach the main gate, the residents will allow you to enter. The Snow Globe can be located by visiting the Museum, which is situated in a hut northwest of the entrance. Upon entering, head to the right and you should find the Snow Globe right in front of you.
Lucky 38 Casino (Test Site)
Lucky 38 Casino is located on the New Vegas strip. To find the Snow Globe, you need to first talk to Mr. House. After finishing the dialogue, you will have access to all levels of the Lucky 38 Casino. Return to the elevator and select the Cocktail Lounge. Once you arrive at the lounge, proceed to the bar area and move in a counter-clockwise direction. The Snow Globe can be found behind one of the cash machines.
Vault 21 Hotel (The Strip)
This is one of the more challenging New Vegas Snow Globes to acquire. To acquire this snow globe, you need a lockpick skill of at least 50. Alternatively, if you have the Locksmith's Readers magazine, a lockpick skill of 40 will suffice, or 30 if you have the comprehension perk. Head to the strip and go to the Vault 21 gift shop. Enter the vault and proceed to the main lobby, then turn left. The second door on your left will be locked with an average difficulty. Use bobby pins to unlock the door and inside you will find the final New Vegas Snow Globe of the base game.
DLC New Vegas Snow Globes
Each large DLC includes one additional New Vegas snow globe.
Sierra Madre
Starting at the southernmost entrance to Salida del Sol South (in Salida del Sol North), go down the stairway to the streets and head east. Then, go up the first staircase and walk on the rooftops towards the west. Look for a hole in the wall on the left-hand side and enter through it.
The snow globe will be on the left side, placed atop a crate in a room with five desks crammed against a back wall. Unlike other Snow Globes, the Sierra Madre will be automatically cashed in for 2,000 chips.
Zion National Park
The Zion National Park snow globe can be found in the Zion General Store, located in the northwestern section of the park. It is kept in the cabinet behind the counter with the cash register on the bottom shelf.
Big MT
The snow globe can be found in the X-17 meteorological station. From the replica of Higgs Village, follow the catwalk that leads to the chamber with a terminal used to activate the weather test. The snow globe is situated on a computer console directly opposite the entrance.
Lonesome Road
The Lonesome Road snow globe is found at the Junction 7 rest stop, near the end of the High Road. Once you reach the end of the road, head downhill to the west of the overpass to locate a dilapidated building. The snow globe can be found on the second floor, on a knocked-over bookshelf under graffiti that says “Give peace a chance!”.
Where to Sell the Snow Globes
Back at the Lucky 38, in the penthouse suite. There is a securitron called Jane who will be more than willing to purchase your snow globes for 2,000 a piece.
